Upgrade and Update Policy

As a special introductory offer, the upgrade and update releases of CodeMonitor from major version 1.0 to major version 2.0 are provided to customers free of charge (included as part of the software license fee).

Update and upgrade releases are distinguished as follows:

“Upgrade releases” contain significant extensions and/or functional enhancements. They are major releases designated by changes in the digits to the left of the first dot of the release number, for example, from 1.0.2 to 2.0.0.
“Update releases” contain error corrections and/or minor fixes to our products, and could also include some new features. Updates are minor releases designated by changes in the release number to the right of the first or second dot, for example, from 1.0.1 to 1.0.2, from 1.0.2 to 1.1.0, or from 1.1.0 to 1.2.0.

All upgrades and updates will be delivered electronically via tangentum technologies' website. They will not be shipped on disk.

Version Support Policy

We support the current release plus the previous major release for all of our products. For example, if the current version of a given product is 2.0, and a new version 3.0 is being released, support for the 1.0 version of the product will end on the day the new version is released.

We will generally keep the unsupported version's binaries and an archive of its documentation available, but customers will no longer be able to submit support requests against the unsupported version.
